Braselton residential permits continue to soar

The Braselton Planning and Development Department issued 53 permits for new residences in April, according to a town report.

Twenty-one permits were issued in Gwinnett County, 13 in Barrow County, 11 in Hall County and six in Jackson County.

Town officials also issued building permits last month for a 12,467 square-foot CVS Pharmacy in Hall County and the 8,904 square-foot Braselton Library, located on Broadway Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 124).

The buildings have an estimated value of $13.6 million, according to town officials.

Braselton officials approved 55 residential permits in March.

Site development permits were issued in April for buildings three and four of the Braselton Distribution Center (located on Hwy. 124), CVS Pharmacy on Spout Springs Road, phase one of Century Center at Braselton (located on Ga. Hwy. 211 and Beaver Dam Road) and Vineyard Gate, phase two.

Permanent sign permits were given to the Braselton Distribution Center, Woody’s Blinds and Sherwin Williams. Temporary sign permits were issued to Sivica Homes, National Bank of Georgia and 1921 — A Country Store.

The following projects are listed by the town as pending for site development plans, preliminary plat or development permit applications received:
